Situation

Santiponce is situated at the start of the Ruta de la Plata, in the region of Aljarafe, just seven kilometres from Seville. A peaceful village, without traffic jams or hustle and bustle, that has managed to conserve the typical rural charm of the small villages of Sevilla, which differentiates it from other neighbouring towns and villages trapped by the expansion of the capital city. One of the richest concentrations of cultural heritage in Andalusia is to be found in the eight square kilometres it occupies.

Here we find Itálica, the first city that the Romans founded outside of the Italian peninsula, and San Isidro del Campo, a Cistercian monastery that conserves important historical and artistic treasures.
