Zafra - Mérida (64 km)

A short distance after leaving Zafra, when crossing the Sierra de los Santos, there is a gentle descent that takes you over the River Guadiana via the Roman bridge before entering Mérida.
The predominant landscape is of whitewashed villages and large extensions of farmland. On rainy days, the last part of this stage can become a very muddy track.
