In Fuenterroble, you will be able to visit the “Museo de los Caminos” (Roads Museum). From here, the route starts to ascend to one of the outstanding heights that you will find in many kilometres, the Pico de la Dueña, at 1,140 metros. From here, the route towards Salamanca is clearly downhill, although it does have abundant “leg-breaking” stretches. There is a stretch a short distance past the Navarredonda de Salvatierra crossroads in which you may choose between two options: the one mentioned above, via Pico de la Dueña, or another that takes you, via a series a very fast “toboggan runs”, to Pedrosillos de los Aires. In either case, both routes coincide at San Pedro de Rozados. There are no more mountains for several stages now; extensive areas of pasture land or dehesas appear where fighting bull ranches abound. Entry to Salamanca is via its Roman bridge.
